A new Space series, “The Returned,” is coming to the network and debuts on April 19th after the return of the hit show “Orphan Black.”
The show, which is making its highly-anticipated premiere, was chosen as one of the critics’ best series of 2013. Breaking conventional zombie stereotypes, this acclaimed eight-episode, one-hour drama is set in an idyllic French alpine village where the lives of its residents are forever changed when the previously deceased inexplicably come back to life, and try to integrate themselves into their former lives. Directed by Fabrice Gobert and Frédéric Mermoud, “The Returned” is based on the 2004 feature film “Les Revenants” by Robin Campillo. Winner of 2013 International Emmy Award for Best Drama series, “The Returned” was acclaimed as “one of the greatest, creepiest, most compelling shows” by The Independent (press release).
The original French-language version of “The Returned” will air on Space, sub-titled for English audiences. It starts April 19th at 10pm.
