We’re all stoked that there’s a big-time, for-serious Godzilla movie coming out this summer, and to help boost the excitement comes Godzilla: Awakening, a Legendary Comics prequel to the upcoming film, co-written by Max Borenstein, the screenwriter of said film, and Greg Borenstein. It’s an 80-page story set at the dawn of the atomic age, which would seem to be preserving the original Gojira’s origins as a man-made nuclear monster. Illustrators include Eric Battle, Yvel Guichet, Alan Quah, and Lee Loughridge, and our first look at the book comes with this striking new cover image from Arthur Adams.
