It may come as a surprise to many, but the next Marvel property headed to the big screen after August’s Guardians of the Galaxy bows just three short months later.
And now, Disney’s first-ever Marvel animated adaptation has nabbed its first cast member, signing on Cloverfield star T.J. Miller for the superteam Big Hero 6.
As reported by Crave movie site /Film, Miller will play Fred, a guy who transforms into a Godzilla-esque lizard creature to fight crime. Oh yeah, and he’s an aspiring low-budget filmmaker, too.
In case Big Hero 6 isn’t the first (or even in the top 100) Marvel characters you figured to get a movie, all you need to know is they’re a Japanese government-sanctioned superteam that debuted back in 1998 and once fought alongside former X-Man Sunfire.
Other than that, there’s not a lot for BH6 to show for their nearly two decades in the Marvel Universe, but with a sure-to-be much hyped Disney film rolling out later this year, you’re bound to hear a lot more about them in the coming months.
Big Hero 6 is set to roll into theaters Nov. 7.
