I think one thing we’re learning this NBA season is that Wizards’ center Marcin Gortat is a goofball. Not one of those “God, that guy is a massive dick” kinda goofball, but one of those “oh man, there he goes again” kind of goofballs.
After espousing the notion that the NBA should just let players fight earlier this season, Gortat was up to his tricks again Thursday, this time just casually sidling his way into the Boston Celtics’ huddle.
In this awesome GIF posted by Crave sports site NESN, the Celtics don’t particularly seem to find that they were momentarily chatting with the enemy — but that could be because Boston star Rajon Rondo might have tried that stunt once or twice himself.
After the game, the Polish national told reporters, “For a second, I felt like a Celtic.”
While the NFL can keep outlawing goalpost slam dunks and anything else that resembles fun, it’s a good thing the NBA seems content to let Gortat be Gortat.
