Star Wars Day came and went over the weekend with nary a hint of the big scoops some diehards thought might be revealed on the unofficial Star Wars holiday — like the name of the upcoming Episode VII.
Well, Crave film site Ain’t It Cool News claims to have the inside deets on the post-colon title adjunct that’ll soon take its place in film history next to The Phantom Menace and A New Hope.
And according to AICN, the title is…Star Wars Episode VII: The Ancient Fear.
It’s a title not exactly guaranteed to generate oohs and ahhs from the faithful, but it certainly does have the George Lucas ring of those old 1940’s film serial titles.
AICN swears up and down that their source is a legitimate J.J. Abrams’ insider and the info is sound…but we probably won’t know for sure whether they’re right or not until an official title announcement pops up…San Diego Comic-Con, anyone?
