But among all the hype and fun, we can’t forget there are professional athletes all vying for gold medals.

X Games Best Storylines
Bob Burnquist - Skateboard
You could argue Burnquist is the Michael Jordan of X Games. Having competed in every event since 1995, Burnquist is the Games' most decorated athlete, currently sitting with 26 medals.
Bucky Lasek - Skateboard Vert
He's 41-years-old and still as badass as ever, being the only athlete to win gold at all four X Games events last year in the Skateboard Vert. After a nine-year streak drought, Bucky's back and with vengeance.
Gavin Harlien - Stadium SUPER Trucks
Austin, Texas native. And oh ya, he's only 14-years-old!
Jamie Bestwick - BMX Vert
He's going for nine straight BMX vert golds -- something that's never been done...in any event. Consider Bestwick the king of BMX and one of the best athletes the Games has ever seen.
Morgan Wade - GoPro BMX Big Air
Wade is a defending X Games Big Air medalist who also set the X Games Big Air quarter pipe height record at X Games Barcelona 2013 at 22'3". Ya, dude got ups.
Nick Baumgartner - Stadium SUPER Trucks
Baumgartner isnt' just racing trucks but is also a former X Games Aspen Snowboard X rider and Olympian for the 2014 Sochi Games. And he also signs autographs for the kids. Like.
Tarah Gieger - Motocross
Sure, she looks fantastic in a swimsuit, but Tarah has seven X Games medals in Racing and Enduro X. In July she was also featured as one of the Top 25 athletes in ESPN Magazines' "Bodies" issue.
Vicki Golden -
Golden became the first woman to be invited to participate in the Moto X Best Whip event and she won bronze. She was also invited again this year to compete in Best Whip, all of this after she became the first woman to qualify for an AMA Arenacross Lites class main event in 2011.
