Watch Seth Rogen, James Franco & Kim Jong-un In The Interview Trailer

On and likely off-screen best buddies Seth Rogen and James Franco have teamed up once again for a new comedy, The Interview. This time the dynamic duo somehow find themselves embroiled in a plot to assassinate North Korean supreme leader Kim Jong-un.

The film was co-directed by Rogen and Evan Goldberg, and is based on a script they wrote together with Girls‘ David Sterling (also of The Daily Show). The premise involves Franco, as the host of the hit night time talk show Skylark Tonight, and his producer (Rogen), scoring an unprecedented interview with the leader of The Hermit Kingdom, played by Randall Park.

As the two prepare for the career-defining opportunity they are approached by the CIA and asked to assassinate the supreme leader. Upon accepting the mission, the chaos obviously ensues. The film also stars the wonderfully dry Lizzy Caplan.

As told by the film’s poster, The Interview is brought to you by the same “Western Capitalist Pigs” responsible for This Is the End and Neighbors  and it due to reach theatres on October 10th.
