Comic-Con 2014: The First Poster for Mad Max: Fury Road

It may have been 30 years since George Miller’s previous Mad Max movie, but the filmmaker’s newest post-apocalyptic thriller could be just as mean as ever if this new poster for Mad Max: Fury Road is any indication.

The first poster for the long-gestating project – finally arriving in theaters on May 15, 2015 – has arrived just in time for Mad Max: Fury Road‘s Comic-Con 2014 presentation in the illustrious and hallowed Hall H, as part of the Warner Bros. panel which also promises sneak peaks at The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies and possibly news about Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Shazam.

Mad Max: Fury Road stars Tom Hardy in a role originated by Mel Gibson in George Miller’s classic post-apocalyptic trilogy. In the new film, Max Rockatansky must escort a woman named Furiosa (Charlize Theron) across a desolate wasteland. Given Max’s track record with these kinds of simple jobs, we imagine the journey will probably not be an easy one.
