Comic-Con 2014 has come and gone. Like Christmas, only with more spandex. Over five days in San Diego, the Hollywood suits and the marketing kingpins rained down upon the masses with a cornucopia of delights. Movies, comics and Cosplay — oh my!!
Still, not everything could be pushed with the same level of intensity. As much as there was too experience at SDCC, you might have missed a few things. Perhaps not the SDCC faithful, the extremists who figure out a way into every panel, but those who rely on other media to procure what is important from this geek odyssey.
We here at CraveOnline found a few things that some folks might have missed, and, because we love our audience so, we have compiled them into Ten Things At SDCC You Might Have Missed.
10 Things You Might Have Missed At SDCC This Year
Arsenal - Arrow
10. Shoot That Poison Arrow Through My Heart
Gotham! Flash! Constantine! Oh my! With all the new DC shows being spotlighted at SDCC, some folks might have missed all the news from Arrow, a tried and true DC show entering its third season. Folks without a scorecard might have missed the unveiling of Colton Haynes as Arsenal. You might have missed that the big bad this year is none other than Ras Al Ghul. Perhaps it eluded you that former Superman Brandon Routh will enter the show at The Atom. We can’t the announcement that one of the new episodes will focus on Felicity’s past and be titled “Oracle”, or the coming of the evil Thea, and the return of John Barrowman. Seriously, there is a lot going on for Arrow, and we here at Crave Online did not want any of it to get past you, including this rocking trailer.

Batman Superman Trailer
09. Batman VS Superman Teaser Trailer
Whoa! How can you guys put this on here? Everybody knows about the teaser footage shown at SDCC? Really? Everybody? We spoke to several people who had zero idea that this footage had been shown, they’d even missed the few hours it leaked before Team BVS shut it down. It’s not out there, don’t even try to find it. However, we here at Crave Online can give you a way to see it.
Get a Frank Miller Dark Knight Returns figure, and a Bat Signal Nightlight. Then grab one of the MANY leftover Superman toys from Man Of Steel. Go outside when it gets dark and turn on the Bat Signal nightlight. Stand the Batman figure next to it looking into the sky. Then turn on a sprinkler so it’s raining on Batman and the Bat Signal. Put the Superman figure in a standing position and then lower him slowly over Batman. Pretend Superman’s eyes are glowing red, and Batman’s costume has bright lights in the eyes. Then shut the whole thing down. That’s the footage
You’re welcome.
Evolution Of The Big Bang
08. Evolution To The Big Bang
Due to the continued contract negotiations between the Big Bang Theory and the cast, more attention has been focused on if the show is coming back, and not what to expect when it does. Crave Online is pretty sure that all will be well paycheck wise, and that the crew will return. The creators share our upbeat notion and released some details about the next season. Big changes are coming to the Big Bang, especially relationship wise. Sheldon and Amy kissed, and Sheldon has gone on a walkabout. The impact of that will be part of next season, as well a change between newly engaged Leonard and Penny. The once dedicated actress will be getting a new job, one that raises her salary and alters the dynamic between the two. It looks like Season 8 will either alter the direction of the series perfectly, or it’ll be fondly looked back on as the “jump the shark” season.
Fight Club 2
07. Fight Club 2
With the plethora of comic book news stemming from both Marvel and DC, some of the more interesting comic ideas can get lost in the shuffle. For instance, the announcement from writer Chuck Palahniuk that he’s dropping Fight Club 2 on an unsuspecting world in May of 2015. What makes this announcement worth revisiting, is that Fight Club 2 will be a ten issue comic series. A Fight Club comic? Interesting. Since the release of moderately successful book and movie, Fight Club has grown into an iconic part of our collective pop culture. For Palahniuk to revisit the characters via comic books, completes that circle.
What to expect? Well, it’s ten years after the end of the first book, the narrator is suppressing his Tyler Durden side via prescription drugs. Problem is, he’s failing as a father and a husband, which is starting rustle up the old Tyler Durden inside him. Palahniuk is also injecting a bit of the supernatural and hinting that perhaps there is more to Durden than we ever knew.
Firefly Online
06. Firefly Online
With Castle running at full steam, and Joss Whedon knee-deep in Avengers, it seems doubtful there will be another Firefly movie. This has been a serious thorn in the side for those of us who worship the show (and the first movie). With anything at SDCC having to do with a Joss Whedon property universally pointed to Marvel comics, the announcement of a Firefly Online might have slipped your notice. This is going to be an all-encompassing online game that will allow players to enter the world of Firefly unlike ever before Not only was the announcement made, but a trailer was also shown. Don’t let this little gem pass you by.

Intersteller
05. Interstellar
Sure we all love him as the man who brought Batman back from the hell of Tim Burton, but Christopher Nolan also unleashed Inception, one of the most mind buzzing films of the last decade. Hidden within the nooks and crannies of SDCC, Christopher Nolan and Matthew McConaughey showed up to talk about Interstellar, Nolan’s new end-of-the-world sci-fi thriller. Not only did Nolan show up with some plot details, but also a trailer. This looks to be another notch in the win column for Nolan, so we figured it was worth a second look if you missed it.

Mike Tyson Mysteries
04. Mike Tyson Mysteries
Did this one slip by you? Did you hear about it but push it to the dark recess of your mind to open space for something Avengers related? If so then let us remind you of one of the most curious projects announced at SDCC. Mike Tyson, the face-tattooed, ear chomping, former boxing champion and current pop culture icon, will have his own Adult Swim cartoon show. In much the same vein as Mr. T’s once heralded crime cartoon (look for it, trust us), or Scooby Doo, Tyson drives a van, has kooky sidekicks and solves crime. I know! How did you miss that one? Well, if you have, push aside those Ultron dreams and check out the trailer for this most out-of-left-field announcement.

Skull Island
03. Skull Island
The big monster news centered on Godzilla, and the fact that King Gidorah, Mothra and Rodan would in the sequel. The first Godzilla film was a bit of let down monster wise, so when three classic bad assess from the Godzilla canon were announced for the next film, it overshadowed the other monster announcement, Skull Island. Part of that is the name, you have to be a hardcore fan of King Kong to know that particular name refers to giant ape’s home.
It does bring ups some interesting ideas. A sequel to King Kong? That would be cool. Especially because it would help wipe away the sour taste of King Kong Lives (yeah, look that one up if you dare). However, the real reason we wanted to renew this announcement is that the film company the owns the rights to King Kong, also owns the rights to Godzilla.
Godzilla VS King Kong? We can dream can’t we?
Can You Smellll What Black Adam Is Cooking
02. If You Smellllll What Black Adam Is Cooking
The DC movie panels were way overshadowed by the Marvel ones. DC has nothing even remotely interesting coming out until 2016. The only real presence DC had came from television. Gotham, The Flash, Constantine, it was all about the boob tube for DC. Due to the onslaught of Marvel movie news, you might have missed this little gem from Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
"There’s a character out there that we’re going to announce very soon, that I’m going to play, and…I’ll just say this, he has the power of Superman, and it’s not Green Lantern, by the way. And believe me, John Stewart, he was a character I wanted to play, but there was already a version of Green Lantern, and so we’ve gone in a different direction. But this character has the power of Superman, he can throw down…just say the word. That’s all I’m going say."
Rumors have been flying (get it) that DC is about to announce a Shazam movie featuring The Rock. Some are putting their money on the Great One playing the title character, but we at Crave Online think it’s more along the lines of Black Adam. Not only does rock have the right look, but also it would be nice to see The Brahma Bull play a bad guy.
Evil Dead On The Tube
01. Evil Dead On TV
Who doesn’t love Evil Dead? Seriously? Outside of Halloween, Texas Chainsaw Massacre or Friday The 13th , can you think of another horror film with greater impact on the genre? After multiple DVD/Bluray releases, and even a pretty decent remake, Evil Dead is coming to the small screen. Details are a scarce on the plot, but Raimi has announced that he will be penning the serious with his brother and, wait for it, Bruce Campbell will star in the series. DC might have hogged all the TV fireworks at SDCC, but few announcements were this frickin’ awesome. Some might not have heard the news, so we here at Crave Online needed to make sure it was known in a big way.
