They say it’s not easy being the champ, but 21 year-old, Carissa Moore, seems to contradict that popular sentiment. In fact, Moore embraces the crown.
Despite the hectic schedule and high demand for the Hawaiian surfer, you would be hard pressed to find someone more warm and bubbly. Whether it be attending the ESPYS, fulfilling duties with her sponsors or completing the countless photo shoots and interviews, Moore is all smiles.
Upon meeting her you would never know that she is the No. 1 female surfer in the world. Moore is very genuine and down to Earth, which of course can be a rarity this day and age in regards to professional athletes. Red Bull definitely has a gem on their hands.
Fortunately for us at Crave, Moore took a break from ripping waves at the U.S. Open to discuss what she loves about Huntington Beach, what she would do if she wasn’t surfing and if she can match Kelly Slater’s 11 world titles.
