Apparently his primary motivator for doing so is because he’s going to be signed to a team in the Chinese Basketball Association. Totally normal, right? Got any guesses? Here’s a hint – it has everything to do with the picture up above. So here it is:
He’s looking to change his name to “Panda Friend”.
According to a tweet from Metta World Peace, his new “Chinese name” is something we’ll all love. Can’t say I’m feeling the butterflies upon its utterance. Just whisper it to yourself, quietly. It’s actually a bit creepy, methinks, but hey this is (was) Ron Artest, has anything he’s done from the start really surprised you?
