SBS 2′s news and current affairs program “The Feed” has unveiled the trailer for the best “Real Housewives” spoof spinoff yet, “The Real Newsreaders Of Sydney”, which features a gloriously psychopathic Lee Lin Chin.
“I party hard, but I read the news even harder,” Sandra Sully of Ten‘s “Eyewitness News” says in her tag line. “I’m here for a good time, not a long time,” says Natalie Barr of Channel Seven‘s “Sunrise”. “I’ve never killed a man before, but I know I’m capable,” adds SBS World News reader and “complete lunatic” Lee Lin Chin, while holding knife.
In a “Real Housewives”-esque mock argument, Sully begins by telling Chin that she’s “not capable of prime-time” only to have a bottle thrown at her. Chin then turns her ire onto Barr, telling her to “go and host Carols in the Domain,” to which an upset Barr responds, “You know they didn’t renew my contract!” Before storming off in a huff.
It’s not the first time Chin has wielded a knife on the SBS program. Earlier this year, during a cooking segment, called “Lee Linguine: It’s Chinner Time”, she faced off against cooking personality Maggie Beer with whom, we were told, she’s held a decades-long beer-related grudge.
For more “Real Newsreaders of Sydney” shenanigans, tune in to The Feed on Monday, 18th August at 7.30pm on SBS 2.
