KC Royals Manager Wants More Support From Fans

The Kansas City Royals haven’t drawn very large crowds, historically. The team isn’t a powerhouse, but its manager Ned Yost wishes fans would generally be a little more supportive.

A good example of a team that doesn’t do quite well, but consistently draws good crowds, is the Chicago Cubs. They regularly draw over 25,000. Some say it’s the ballpark, some say it’s the surrounding “Wrigleyville” village and nightlife. Others say it’s the kind-hearted and hopeful nature of fans on Chicago’s north side that encourage a good time despite whether the team wins or loses.

Clearly, something’s missing for the Kansas City Royals. We all know that fans may be disappointed after seeing the team flounder for decades. But hey, if Cubs fans can enjoy their team and ballpark even though a World Series hasn’t been brought home in over a hundred years, then Royals fans can do it too.
