Big Hero 6: Don Hall & Chris Williams on Hugging Baymax

Audiences all over the world are already falling in love with Baymax, the mild-mannered robot co-star of Big Hero 6, and if they’re anything like us they totally want to hug him. Directors Don Hall and Chris Williams thought about that, and explain in this CraveOnline exclusive video interview what Baymax is really made of, and what suggestion they made to Disney about how to bring him to life at Disneyland.

The directors of Big Hero 6 also explain how the world of San Fransokyo came into being, and why they felt it was necessary to set the film in a hybrid world instead of a realistic one.

They also reveal the original visual design for Baymax, which sounds quite a bit creepier than the one which wound up in the finished film.

Big Hero 6 stars Ryan Potter (“Supah Ninjas”), Jamie Chung (Sin City: A Dame to Kill For), Damon Wayans Jr. (Let’s Be Cops), Genesis Rodriguez (Tusk) and T.J. Miller (Cloverfield). The film opens nation-wide on Friday, November 7, 2014.
