With Star Wars on the minds of many, it may surprise you that one of George Lucas’ new ambitions is in the realm of animation.
Taking cues from Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, in Strange Magic we’ll be seeing elves, fairies, goblins and imps. The magical aspects of the Shakespeare’s work will likely be the focus of Lucas’ adaptation, along with popular music from recent decades.
Lucasfilm Animation Singapore and Industrial Light & Magic are putting the images on the screen for all of us, which should be a real treat, considering the great work ILM did with Rango back in 2011.
