Video: The Darcys Talk Steely Dan, Music for Mayors

What’s more gentlemanly than art rock?

CraveOnline’s Jordan Breen caught up with Polaris Prize and Juno-nominated art rockers The Darcys at The Gentlemen’s Expo 2014 in Toronto, Ontario, following their Live 102.1 SoundStage Unplugged performance to discuss being a distinctly Torontonian band, starting a band to get girls and free beer, the story behind their re-interpretation Steely Dan’s “Aja” and what they have planned as a follow-up for Record Store Day, after releasing the 22-minute instrumental “Hymn for a Missing Girl” this year.

Drummer Wes Marskell also talks about his contributions to The Huffington Post Canada, including his playlist for former Toronto mayor and noted crack-cocaine smoker Rob Ford and what tracks he would recommend to newly-elected mayor John Tory.
