Nikita Gusev, a Tampa Bay Lightning draft pick in 2012, also plays in the KHL, or Kontinental Hockey League. The KHL is a league of Eastern European hockey teams, and they also host all-star events and skill competitions, not unlike the NHL.
At the KHL Super Skills Competition, which took place during the same weekend as the NHL All-Star Skills Competition, Nikita put on a real show:
That skill shot likely requires muscle memory and hand-eye-foot coordination that many of us only wish we could possess. We’ll probably be seeing this on highlight reels for a while.
