Brace yourselves for more carnage- a new Game of Thrones season five trailer and has emerged ahead of the next month’s series launch.
Debuted at the Apple Watch launch following the announcement Apple TV and HBO have joined forces on an exclusive content agreement, the latest season five trailer depicts the bloody power struggle in Westeros while giving us a fleeting glimpse at an even bigger dragon.
“Lannister, Baratheon, Stark, Tyrell: They’re all just spokes on a wheel,” Daenerys Targaryen narrates in the sneak peek. “This one’s on top but then that one’s on top and on and on it spins, crushing those on the ground.”
“I’m not going to stop the wheel,” she concluded. “I’m going to break the wheel.”
If the trailer is anything to go by, season five is set to feature a ton of gore as it follows the scattered cast around George R.R. Martin’s fantasy world while the Khaleesi edges closer to launching her claim on the Westeros throne and the warring factions fighting over it.
Game of Thrones season five launches in the US and on Foxtel Australia on April 12.
