For the first time ever, Sony is going to be launching a PlayStation console in China. Not only is it the first time, but it’s a two-fer. Also being launched along with the PlayStation 4 is the PlayStation Vita. March 20th marks the day when history will be made for the Japanese gaming giant.
Microsoft’s China Xbox One release sorta went off with sizzle instead of a bang, and adoption rates aren’t showing much sign of improvement for them. Hopefully this isn’t a foretelling of the road ahead for Sony.
It’s a tough market over in Asia; hopefully this 8th generation of consoles makes some definite headway, securing a future for major manufacturers in a very large and potentially profitable region.
