Arya Stark is booking a trip on the TARDIS.
BBC has announced that Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams has booked a guest role in the upcoming ninth season of Doctor Who. Williams is internationally known for portraying Arya Stark for five seasons on Game of Thrones, which was her first major role as an actress. Williams has also appeared in Cyberbully and The Falling.
“We’re thrilled to have Maisie Williams joining us on Doctor Who,” said showrunner and executive producer Steven Moffat. “ It’s not possible to say too much about who or what she’s playing, but she is going to challenge the Doctor in very unexpected ways. This time he might just be out of his depth, and we know Maisie is going to give him exactly the right sort of hell.”

Williams added “I’m so excited to be working on Doctor Who as it’s such a big and important part of British Culture. I can’t wait to meet the cast and crew and start filming, especially as we’ll be shooting not too far from my home town.”
As part of the announcement, BBC revealed the titles for the first two episodes of Doctor Who Season 9: ‘The Girl Who Died’ and “The Woman Who Lived,” which will reunite Peter Capaldi’s Doctor and Jenna Coleman’s Clara Oswald for a period adventure.
Doctor Who Season 9 is slated to premiere this fall on BBC One and BBC America.
