Star Wars Battlefront‘s multiplayer component is shaping up well, according to the game’s developer DICE, with the game soon set for its official reveal.
DICE, best known for their work on the Battlefield series, has been left in charge of the heavily anticipated next iteration in the Battlefront series following the closure of LucasArts, and the company is seemingly confident that the game will live up to players’ expectations.

Taking to Twitter to post an update on the game’s progress, game designer Viktor Lundberg wrote: “So much progress over the last couple of weeks.” He then confirmed when the official reveal trailer of the game will debut, following the behind-the-scenes footage debuted at last year’s E3 (which you can view in the video below), with a post on Battlefield’s official website reading: “The team at DICE is zeroing in on the final details for our appearance at Star Wars Celebration and we’re ready to make good on our promise to reveal more details around Star Wars Battlefront.
“It has been hard to keep these secrets from the community, but we’re excited to announce that we will be hosting a panel at Celebration on April 17th, kicking off at 10:30AM PT, where we will debut the official reveal trailer for Star Wars Battlefront. Make sure to get to the show early to secure your seat. But that is not all… All attendees will have a chance to see gameplay behind closed doors during the show at our official booth along with a few other activities starting that Friday.”
Star Wars Celebration, billed the “ultimate Star Wars fan convention,” is set to take place in the Anaheim Convention Center in California. Considering it had previously been predicted that gameplay would not be unveiled until E3 this year, it looks like we’ll be getting to take our first look at Battlefront sooner than we had anticipated.
