The smash hit original series 19-2 is returning to Bravo for a third season, the network just announced – production will begin in Montreal this summer.
An additional 10, one-hour episodes have been ordered from Sphère Média Plus and Echo Media.
Nominated for 10 Canadian Screen Awards in 2015, Season 1 of 19-2 received the second-most nominations of any television series behind Space’s Orphan Black (Tatiana Maslany), and was Bravo’s #1 original series, reaching a total of more than 3.3 million viewers. Adrian Holmes (ARROW) and recent CSA, Best Actor winner Jared Keeso (Godzilla), reprise their roles as embattled beat cops Nick Barron and Ben Chartier.
“Buzzworthy and brilliant, 19-2 is unlike any series in the television landscape, and is truly a point of pride for Bravo,” said Tracey Pearce, Senior Vice-President of Specialty and Pay at Bell Media, in a press release. “From media to viewers, this original, Canadian production has garnered much acclaim, and rightly so. Kudos to the inimitable cast, crew, and the producers, and we look forward to working with Sphère Média Plus and Echo Media on yet another season of this riveting series.”
“Extending 19-2’s legacy to the Bravo audience has been incredibly rewarding,” said Jocelyn Deschênes, Producer and Founding President of Sphère Média Plus. “We are looking forward to producing another season of intense drama with our partners at Bell Media and Echo Media. Our cast and crew are eager to return to Station 19!”
