DC’s Convergence event is about more than just the pre-Flashpoint superheroes. This week, DC is setting the Wayneback machine for 1994’s epic comic event Zero Hour in Convergence: Batman: Shadow of The Bat.
In our exclusive preview from Convergence: Batman: Shadow of The Bat # 1, Bruce Wayne is still recovering from a broken back while attempting to go undercover (as himself!) in the criminal organization of Tobias Whale. But Wayne’s former successor as Batman, Jean-Paul Valley is already entrenched in Whale’s employ.
That’s right. AzBats is back. Although I suppose we can start calling him Azrael again.
Also, I’m not sure if the chronology of KnightsEnd completely lines up with Zero Hour as suggested here in this preview, but we’re just gonna go with it.
Convergence: Batman: Shadow of The Bat # 1 was written by industry legend, Larry Hama with art by Philip Tan and Jason Paz, along with a variant cover by Chip Kidd. The issue hits comic stores this Wednesday, April 15.
