Kids In The Hall is taking to the road this spring with a cross-Canada tour that begins in Toronto tonight – Mark McKinney, Dave Foley, Bruce McCulloch and the rest of the cast have been getting nostalgic as they relive some of the most memorable moments of the coveted television series.
“It becomes a kind of a family that you are kind of happy to have a reunion with,” McKinney told CBC, “although there’s always a tightening of the stomach walking into a Kids in the Hall reunion… It’s like a bunch of brothers who grew up fighting and now know what’s going on.”
Added McCulloch, “We just make fun of each other… That’s part of the joy of being in this weird dysfunctional family… It’s like a family when you go home for Christmas and you feel like you are a full person and you find yourself being the person you were when you were 9 or 11.”
The tour starts in Toronto at Danforth Hall tonight and runs till Monday, April 27th. Then the Kids In The Hall are off to Hamilton, London, Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, Winnipeg, Montreal, and Ottawa. Kevin McDonald and Scott Thompson will also be performing what they’ve promised is little bit of the old (who can forget the Chicken Lady?) with some new.
