Netflix Reunites Ashton Kutcher & Danny Masterson For New Comedy Series

Earlier this year, Ashton Kutcher wrapped up his four season run on Two and a Half Men. Only a few months later, Kutcher is already signed for his next series and he’s bringing one of his former co-stars with him.

Deadline is reporting that the new comedy series, The Ranch has landed a straight-to-series order with Kutcher slated to star in and produce the show alongside Danny Masterson. Kutcher and Masterson were co-stars on the Fox comedy, That ‘70s Show.

The Ranch was co-created by former Two and a Half Men co-showrunners Don Reo and Jim Patterson, both of whom worked closely with Kutcher during his time on that show. The series takes place on a ranch in Colorado as Kutcher’s character returns home following a brief football career to run the business with his brother, who will be played by Masterson.

While Netflix typically releases every episode of its original series at once, The Ranch will get a split season release of ten episodes each. The Ranch will also be Netflix’s second multi-camera series after Fuller House, the upcoming Full House sequel series/spinoff.

Netflix has The Ranch slated to premiere in 2016. Production will likely begin later this year.
