There are spoilers ahead for last night’s TV movie, Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No! You’ve been warned!
During Syfy’s latest installment in the Sharknado franchise, the battle with the sharks was continued in outer space, and Game of Thrones author, George R.R. Martin was “freed” of his obligations to finish the series.
Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No! also delivered 2.8 million viewers for Syfy, which was about a million fewer viewers than Sharknado 2: The Second One’s initial audience. Regardless, Sharknado 3 dominated the night as the most watched program on basic cable.
Syfy also announced that Sharknado 4 will arrive in July 2016. And because Sharknado 3 ended on a cliffhanger regarding the fate of Tara Reed’s character, April Shepard, fans have been invited to tweet #AprilLives or #AprilDies, which will determine whether she survived when a piece of the space shuttle came falling towards her. Keep in mind, this happened after April was once again swallowed by a shark and fell back to Earth while giving birth inside of the shark!
Apparently there is no such thing as “too over-the-top” for the Sharknado franchise.
