They say art imitates life, but it seems that nature is imitating politics these days as Mother Nature seems to have joined Karl Stefanovic in calling out Immigration Minister Peter Dutton for his recent comments regarding refugees, after some Hitler moustache shaped shade was thrown on his re-election billboard in the electorate of Dickson.
Posted to Reddit by local Redditor D_S_W, the photo comes of course after Dutton recently told Sky News that humanitarian refugees “won’t be numerate or literate in their own language, let alone English” and yet despite their lack of skills “would be taking Australian jobs.”
Despite Stefanovic and many others calling his comments, bigoted, biased and unfounded, Dutton is standing by them, and Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull is standing behind Dutton.
Calling him “an outstanding immigration minister” on Wednesday, Turnbull went on to reiterate Dutton’s comments.
“As Peter was saying earlier today, many of them come to Australia from shattered areas of the world,” he said before describing humanitarian refugees as having “no English skills at all”.
The Reddit community however were not so kind to little Petey though, with comments like “the metamorphosis is nearly complete” posted by NearlyOutOfMilk and this photoshopped version of the photo listing him as the minister for Dicks (what did you expect) by overpopyoulater populating the thread.
Seems he really just can’t catch a break when it comes to lighting in photographs these days though, let alone the public making fun of him for it.
