Here’s What Bill Clinton Said About Going to Taylor Swift’s Concert

Former President Bill Clinton recently shared his thoughts on singer Taylor Swift‘s ongoing world tour, dubbed the Eras Tour. However, this is not the first time that the Clintons have commented on Swift. Previously, Bill Clinton’s wife and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton had also spoken out to publicly commend Taylor Swift for endorsing Democratic candidate Kamala Harris before the 2024 presidential elections.

Bill Clinton comments on going to Taylor Swift’s concert

Bill Clinton attended Taylor Swift’s recent Eras Tour show in Toronto, accompanied by his granddaughter Charlotte, daughter Chelsea, and some friends. Clinton shared this anecdote in a talk with hosts Mark Consuelos and Kelly Ripa on their chat show Live with Kelly and Mark.

Talking about how the crowd at Taylor Swift’s show fascinated him, Bill Clinton said, “I’d never been to one of her concerts before, and it was — I get it now. I understand why she has such an impact on people and why a lot of these young girls are so captivated.”

The former president further added, “I was fascinated watching our crowd of kids, especially our granddaughter, standing there with the wife of one of Chelsea’s friends from 20-plus years ago, and her daughters — and all of them up there singing and they all knew the words to the songs. It was great.” Additionally, Ripa asked Clinton whether he got the chance to meet Swift backstage, but he denied it saying, “I probably couldn’t have. We didn’t [go backstage].”

Swift has been in Canada for the Canadian leg of her Eras Tour. According to Page Six, recently she wrapped up her last show in Toronto and also appeared emotional. The singer is now preparing to travel to Vancouver for her next shows. Taylor Swift’s next show is scheduled for December 6, 2024.
