There seems to be some common ground in design these days: honeycombs. From honeycomb-inspired lamps to honeycomb-shaped shelters and now the advent of honeycomb-ribbed condoms; honeycomb shapes present a wellspring of solutions to very real design application problems.
Everything from erecting (no pun intended) a more sturdy structure to following suit with a design wave that is equal parts function and aesthetic, honeycombs have provided answers. As for condoms, Swedish brand Lelo hasn’t lost the plot either. They’ve taken on board an archive of customer complaints that have dogged all manner of condom brands: condoms tear, condoms slip off, or condoms simply don’t adhere to the contour and texture of a man’s penis.

Hex with its web of honeycombs that form the unique grid of latex skin on the condom promises to resist the most anxiety-inducing residual problems: tears.
