Today is Friday. Today also happens to be International Beer Day. It’s a global celebration and recognition of beer in all of its glory and deliciousness. So basically, there is no reason for you to be reading this without a drink in your hand. But before you run to the fridge to simply pop open a cold one, we thought we’d share a few more creative beer-infused drinks that you might want to enjoy instead.
Templeton Rye Whiskey
Sierra Nevada Pale Ale
1 ounce Templeton Rye Whiskey
½ ounce Campari
4 ounce Sierra Nevada Pale Ale
½ ounce lemon juice
1. In a double rocks glass add Templeton Rye Whiskey, Campari and lemon juice.
2. Add ice.
3. Top with Pale Ale.
‘Beer-a-Rita’
12 ounce Lager Beer
.5 ounce Casa Noble Crystal Tequila
.25 ounce Triple Sec
2 ounce Sour Mix
1. Mix all ingredients except lager in a blender with ice.
2. Pour into a large margarita glass.
3. Add chilled beer over the top.
4. Garnish with a slice of lime and serve.
Fernet-Branca
Framboise Franca Bomb
12 ounce Framboise Lambic (such as Lindemans)
1 ounce Fernet Branca
1. Fill pint glass with Framboise Lambic beer.
2. Drop Fernet Branca shot into glass 3. Drink immediately.
Fernet-Branca & Templeton-
‘The Black Sea’
1 ounce Templeton Rye Whiskey
.5 ounce Fernet Branca
.5 ounce Chocolate Syrup
Top Ballast Point Sea Monster Imperial Stout
1. In a mixing glass with ice, shake whiskey, Fernet Branca and chocolate syrup, strain and fill with stout.
2. Garnish with shaved chocolate and pinch of sea salt.
