Physically Perfect Fitness Guru Showcases Her Stomach Rolls On Instagram To Make Herself More Relatable

There’s nothing like a super tiny girl trying to convince others she’s just like you; super inspirational.

Fitness guru, and super popular Instagram user, Anna Victoria has reeled in 850K followers on her Instagram by posting fitness-related photos and trying to inspire others to get healthy.

And while many praise her fit body and aim to be just like her, Victoria thought she would post a photo showing off her “stomach rolls” in order to encourage others to love their body. Check out the photo below. This is Victoria at her worst. This is the photo she shared to seem relatable and to make you feel better about your body. Really think about that before you look at the photo.

There are two reasons I want to share this with you ladies: one reason is because I want you to know having skin fold over on your stomach when you sit or to have “rolls” is not anything to hate or be ashamed of. The other reason is because while I say this, there have been times where if I ever found myself in front of a mirror where I am sitting and I see my stomach, I automatically think “ew!” because this is what society has conditioned me to think. Your stomach does not have to be perfectly flat to be healthy, your stomach does not have to be perfectly flat for you to love yourself, and your stomach does not have to be perfectly flat to be confident and beautiful and an all around amazing person. As a society, we shouldn’t let physical characteristics set the standard for whether we deserve to love ourselves or not. Everyone deserves to love themselves, however I know that’s easier said than done. What’s amazing to me and what I have witnessed with the fbg girls is most of the time they start learning to love themselves more on their journey not because of the physical changes, but because of the mental and emotional changes that come from dedicating yourself, pushing yourself, and seeing just how strong you really are. (what we call “non-physical progress” and is just as, if not more important than physical progress). That type of strength and beauty can only be seen and felt from within. #fbggirls www.annavictoria.com/guides

Did you look long enough? Do you feel better about your body now? Does your “not flat” stomach seem totally reasonable now? I know mine does.

Hey, if that photo inspires people and encourages people to love their bod, it’s done its duty. But it’s rough witnessing a super fit girl trying to relate to us normal looking folks. (My stomach rolls would devour her stomach rolls for a light post-breakfast snack.)

But hey, some of her fans were actually very supportive (although I can’t tell if they were being sarcastic)

Let’s check out some more of Anna Victoria and let’s convince ourselves to go to the gym. (Nah.)

One thing people need to know about a journey is that if you are to succeed, the journey will not go up in a straight line. That line you will be walking will be going alllll over the place – up, down, to the left, make a u-turn, reverse, stop even. People think that in order to be successful (in anything in life, really) you can’t mess up. That is the most tragic misunderstanding of all because it keeps people from achieving their dreams. Where they think they are failures, they are in fact just learning, and just human. To grow and learn, you HAVE to stumble. To realize just how badly you want something, you HAVE to hit rock bottom. The strongest people have fought the biggest battles. Whether it’s with themselves, their circumstances, their family or friends even. Remember what you are fighting for and don’t let anything get in your way. When you do struggle, take a moment to look at the bigger picture, struggles are meant to teach us something. The next time you have a bad day and think about giving up, just remember you are still learning, improving, growing, which is a beautiful thing a journey doesn’t have to be perfect to be successful, so never be ashamed of your struggle. #fbggirls www.annavictoria.com/guides

All too often I hear or see people being criticized for their bodies. By their friends, their family, by strangers. I’m still trying to understand why people are so concerned with how other people look, whether they are too skinny, too fit, too fat, too…anything. If people were to relax and back off other people’s bodies, I wonder how many women would love themselves more, would value themselves and their health more, would not turn to food for comfort. I could be wrong, but I feel like if people backed off criticizing others, as a society and as individuals we would be much happier and healthier. There is so much pressure to be this and be that, that it can push people to one extreme or the other and I wish people were comfortable enough to just BE and work on loving themselves without feeling like everyone around them is watching, waiting for the opportunity to comment on how different they look, on either side of the weight spectrum. I have even had people tell me they are worried I am getting “too” healthy. What?? I don’t think people will ever stop having a genuine concern for their loved ones and that’s ok, but as a society we need to teach people that it’s ok to love ourselves, so people can do just that…love themselves, be happy, and allow themselves to reflect on their lifestyle as an individual to be able to say, “I’m not valuing myself in the way I deserve. I should be treating my body better so I can feel energized and happy each and every day.” Not because someone else tells you to, but because you want to. #fitbodyguide www.annavictoria.com/guides
