In the latest South Park episode ‘Members Only,’ Cartman, his unlikely girlfriend Heidi and Butters plan to be among the first people to colonize Mars with SpaceX, after the Danish government plans to release a new anti-trolling tool that will expose everyone’s online browsing history. But while the show typically only features parodies of celebrities that creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker voice themselves, it appears that Elon Musk made a special guest appearance during this particular episode.
Whenever a celebrity is depicted in South Park, it is all but guaranteed that Stone and Parker will voice them, providing one of the over-the-top impersonations that they have become known for. However, there was something distinctly odd about the voice work provided for SpaceX founder Elon Musk, who was clearly voiced by someone other than the animated show’s creators. After watching the show’s end credits, it turns out that none other than Musk himself lended his vocal talents to the episode.
The below image was captured by a Reddit user, with it showing that Elon Musk was listed among the voice actors for the episode. Musk has a pretty lengthy segment in ‘Members Only,’ with him taking Cartman, Heidi and Butters on a tour of SpaceX, along with revealing his “brand new” invention that happens to be a pizza pocket.

Musk previously appeared in the the Season 18 episode ‘Handicar,’ though he was voiced by Trey Parker. He is a noted fan of the animated series, with the official South Park account being one of just 39 accounts the entrepreneur follows on Twitter. The SpaceX founder has also made a guest appearance on The Simpsons, appearing in the episode ‘The Musk Who Fell to Earth.’
South Park typically stays away from enlisting real celebrities for voice-over work, with there having only been a few exceptions to this rule including The Cure’s Robert Smith, YouTuber PewDiePie and, perhaps most famously, George Clooney, who “voiced” Stan’s dog Sparky in an early episode of the show. With Musk being a noted fan of the show — South Park is one of just 39 Twitter accounts followed by the billionaire — it seems that his admiration for Stone and Parker is reciprocated by the comedians.
