It’s obvious Nissan gets what a big auto show like NAIAS 2017 is for as it rolled out a speculative dream machine in the form of its Vmotion 2.0. Exploring the near future of aesthetic and functional design, the car looks to where Nissan is headed in the styling department.
The car takes its name from its “V-motion” front end design cues already visible on the current Nissan Altima, Murano crossover and Maxima sedan. The car’s lines are characterized by a floating roof and a lowered line flowing from fenders to trunk — with a little Stealth Fighter angle playing along the door panels to create Nissan’s “Emotional Geometry” design language.

Inside, the styling enhances driver and passenger comfort with advanced materials and ergonomic designs. The high-tension body beneath the passengers maintains the car’s stability for a smooth ride.
Driving technology matches the advancements in styling with Around View Monitor (AVM) with Moving Object Detection (MOD), Forward Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Intelligent Cruise Control and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.
In keeping with the concept car tradition, the pretty Vmotion 2.0 is not set for production. Rather it seeks to present pieces of where Nissan’s functional aesthetic design should take its cars in the near future. It’s important to note nothing in the car is overly futuristic or propositional. Whether in the form of body shaping or in-car driving safety assistance, what we’re seeing in the Nissan Vmotion 2.0 will be in the automaker’s road-ready vehicles mostly likely within the next two to three years.
