We don’t get Citroen automobiles in the USA. Some say it’s because it’s difficult for a European car maker to get traction in the American market these days. It might be next to impossible for a French automaker to manage it. Since U.S. buyers already have an abundance of American, German, Japanese and Korean cars to choose from, conventional thinking says there’s little reason to add French machines to that mix.

That’s a shame because Citroen produced its share of interesting cars throughout the decades — and they’re doing some equally interesting work now. You’ll see the brand flourishing on the streets of Europe and on racing circuits. You’re just not encountering them on U.S. roads.
To explore this Francophonic alien amongst American’s drivers, the Mullin Automotive Museum will launch a special show dedicated to the history of Citroen. The Exhibit will focus on some of the oldest and most classic designs in the Citroen line, with an eye toward discovering the brand’s European heritage.
The Citroen Exhibit runs from March 11th, with special previews leading up to the grand opening.
