One of the leading companies in the world when it comes to outdoor clothes and equipment, The North Face, created a new dome tent that is apparently able to resist any weather. It’s called Geodome 4 and utilizes the sturdy structure of a geodesic dome with stress-distributing triangular elements. Although it seems complex, Geodome 4 is actually quite simple to set up as it contains just five main poles and one equator pole. Besides the tent’s ability to withstand winds of up to 60 miles per hour, it also allows the people inside to stand up thanks to its unique structure. You can use it whenever and wherever you want.
The only problem with Geodome 4 right now is that it’s only available at the North Face’s web store on a Japanese market at the moment. The rest of the world will have to wait a little bit longer. If you want to see the Geodome 4 in action, you can check out this demo below that shows you just how easy it is to assemble the tent and put it up. The fact that the video is in Japanese may be a bit discouraging, but there’s no doubt that videos in English will be follow soon. Just make sure you follow the North Face’s announcements.
