Blue Moon Creator Is Coming Out With A Weed Beer In Colorado

Normally we would hear about somebody making a beer that doesn’t have alcohol in it, and our initial thought would be that the guy is real knob.

But according to KDVR, it’s pretty much the exact opposite this time around because the guy responsible for giving us Blue Moon has come up with a beer that will use “special marijuana formulas” instead of alcohol, something that will hopefully take away the morning-after headaches you’d normally get after crushing a 30-pack of Pabst.

“This is really about brewing great beers that beer drinkers love,” Keith Villa said. “You’d just swap out an alcoholic beer for one of our beers.”

Villa and his team will be releasing three marijuana-infused brews this fall, but you’ll have to go to Colorado to get your hands (and your lips) on them. The special weed formulas are designed to “mimic the effects of booze,” and Villa says the beers will hit the drinker at the same pace as if they were drinking a regular beer with alcohol in it.

Villa added that his lineup of pot beers will include a light beer, a wheat beer and “something heavier, like an Imperial or barrel-aged stout.” He’ll simply make the beer as usual, remove the alcohol and then add the cannabis extracts.

And then all he’ll have to do is sit back and wait to receive his “God Amongst Men” award.
