Look, by now, you know that we’re cynics at heart. That’s what truly drives us to find the most practical, yet easy-to-do life hacks each week. Since we’re at the edge of summertime, we will soon be spending a lot of time at the beach. What we don’t want to do is spend a lot of time chasing down a towel so it doesn’t float away or get covered in sand.
So what we all need is the perfect life hack to make going to the beach that much more enjoyable. Thankfully, we didn’t have to do much digging because TikTok is the social media platform that keeps on giving. This week, we have a life hack for you beach goers that want to say arrivederci to fly-away towels thanks to TikTok user @bri_gfit.

What You’ll Need
- Flat Bed Sheet
- Sand
- Hands
Look, in order to upgrade your beach experience, you’re going to have to upgrade your life. So invest in a new set of luxury sheets. Something with a thread count of at least 1,000. Whatever sheets you have leftover that can no longer touch your skin because they’re just too rough…those are your beach sheets. You’ll only need the top sheet. If you don’t know which sheet that is, it’s the one that doesn’t have elastic on it.
Take the flat sheet with you to the beach. Pick your perfect spot in the sand and then take out the sheet, lay it on the sand, and tuck each of the four corners into the sand. Do this like you’re tucking the sheet into the sand while scooping sand underneath. For extra points, you can put your towel(s) or blanket on top of the sheet to minimize how much sand you have to put up with.
