ORIGINAL STORY: Emma Watson’s launching of the HeForShe campaign, a feminist movement which hopes to rally the support of more men to continue the battle for gender equality, has seen her become the target of heinous, abhorrent online abuse.

The Harry Potter actress delivered a speech in a United Nations conference in which she urged men to join women in the fight for parity between genders, but needless to say her words raised the ire of an array of mouth-breathing, neckbearded, misogynistic perma-virgins, who have threatened to leak nude images of the 24-year-old via the website “EmmaYouAreNext.com.”
Allow me to be the first to call BS on this one, as if these guys had nudes of Emma Watson in their possession, they would have already plastered them across the far reaches of the Internet and immediately began circle-jerking one another. As you may have guessed, this campaign against Watson (I’m not really sure what these people want her to do before the countdown ends – presumably renounce her belief that men and women should be equal?) was reportedly started on 4chan by a few users. I had a look through the popular image board to find evidence of the culprit, though interestingly a number of anonymous users of the site are defending Watson. Here are a few choice comments from some of her supporters:
“She stood up for mens rights too. How about we collectively calm the fuck down and make 4chan look less like shit.”
“How about you grow the fuck up and get over it? Like, taking revenge is fucking stupid. But taking revenge on a celebrity for saying something you disagree with is even dumber. I don’t honestly give a fuck what she said, she has her opinion. And you can have yours. Leave it at that.”
Of course, there are multiple instances of people being hateful morons, too, but you can probably make an educated guess as to what bilious tripe is falling from out of their fingers and onto their ejaculate-encrusted keyboards.
So, what’s going to happen after the countdown has ended, then? Well, the people who created it will carry on being hate-filled and alone, and Emma Watson will continue to be a good person fighting towards the inevitability of gender equality.
