For the last couple of years, Jaguar focused on their F-Type to redefine their image. But, the classic British automaker is creeping back to its classic identity with the XF luxury sedan on display at NYIAS 2015.
Since a classic Super Bowl ad that kicked off Jaguar’s Villain campaign, Jaguar’s public messages focused largely on the beautiful F-Type. The two-door sports car was high tech, but fun — offering elite performance that could rip up a track before taking the driver home in luxury and style.
Entirely redesigned for the new model year, 2016 XF at NYIAS 2015 focuses more on that long ride home, offering more space, enhanced comfort and a new aluminum centered construction to reduce weight and improve fuel economy. Available in both rear wheel and all-wheel drive setups, Jaguar will offer an eight speed automotive transmission and a choice of two direction injected V6 engines (offering either 340 or 380 horsepower, depending on trim levels).

Inside, Jaguar is sure to load up on the comfort and high tech inclusions to cement the XF’s luxury status. Jag reports that the car will feature two available infotainment systems — including a standard system with InControl Touch based around an 8-inch touchscreen featuring the new Jaguar user interface. The system will include swipe ability and voice control
The new InControl Touch Pro infotainment system switches to a 10.2-inch capacitive touchscreen, with all the functionality built into the bottom section of the touchscreen.
