Yeah, that’s right.
There comes a time in life where one must appreciate the little things by slowing down a bit, so we can stop to smell the flowers, kiss a few babies, and maybe, just maybe…throw out a few middle fingers. Because we can’t all be emotionally stable, right?
Last year, Unicode 7.0 added nearly three thousand new symbols to its repertoire (a fraction of which were emojis), but there was one that was curiously omitted by iOS, OS X, and Android: Symbol U+1F595 “Reversed Hand With Middle Finger Extended,” lovingly referred to as the finger.

As you can see, it supports skin tones, like any other emoji representing humans or human body parts, and defaults to the non-specific grey finger.
Fortunately, Microsoft did something savvy for once and acknowledged the intense cultural importance this gesture carries. Its usage ranges from a subtle “Fuck you!” to “Don’t put sour cream in my burrito, Chipotle.” to “I love you” (for the especially twisted bastards out there).
