Jack Erwin Pops Up For The Holidays

On a rainy night in Midtown Manhattan, Jack Erwin opened its Pop-up Fitting Room just in time for the holidays. The new space was alive with fashionistas from all walks of life and spectrums of style. Guests sipped on Hudson Whiskey while forming clicks around the perfectly hand-crafted shoes positioned in the minimalist space.

Within the grey walls and displays built from cement slabs, fresh cut wood, and river white granite tops were an army of boots, oxfords, and penny loafers. Each shoe was designed with precision and quality that is only seen in luxury brands. The catch is the price of Jack Erwin’s products, averaging around $200.

Ariel Nelson and Lane Gerson co-founded Jack Erwin with the idea of making luxury products attainable without breaking the bank. Nelson explained at the event that in 2012 he wanted to purchase a particular designer shoe that was stupidly expensive. He jokingly said to Gerson that they needed to find a solution to this dilemma. Nelson’s joke became a reality that led both men down an unexpected path. They created a company based in New York City that sourced its leathers in France and Italy, and manufactured its products in Spain.

In 2013, instead of opening a traditional flagship store, a hybrid of online and experiential shopping was fused at 10 Hubert Street in TriBeCa. Customers are able to feel the shoes, try them on, purchase online in store and have them delivered directly to their home or office. Two years later, their collection offers over 15 products with several color options. As the winter months near, their boots and lace-ups are ideal for all men to own.

For those snowy commutes, try their wingtip Carter’s, cap-toe Chester’s, and Ellis Chelsea boots. When attending a holiday party, try their brogue-styled Adam’s, cap-toe Noah’s, or their special edition Jasper’s. If all you want to do is lounge, try their Charlie’s, Abe’s, or Ernie’s.

Our favorite pieces are below, but you can check out their entire collection at www.jackerwin.com, visit them in TriBeCa or their Winter Pop-up at 245 Park Avenue, and follow their incredible journey on Instagram.
