Streetwear label Raised by Wolves headed far, far away from their Canadian roots to shoot their Spring/Summer 2016 lookbook. All the way across the pond, the crew set up temporary shop in the very beautiful Reykjavik, Iceland, a region known for rich Viking history and lots of nightlife. While you won’t see evidence of either in the lookbook, the backdrops featuring artsy buildings and un-trafficked alleyways are the perfectly demure yet stylish background for the new line.
The Raised by Wolves Spring/Summer 2016 collection is filled with streetwear staples made with rich materials. Premium jersey cotton is used on hoodies, tees, and casual shirts. Next, the goods are treated with perfectly unexpected designs and finishes, like intricately embroidered roses as featured on the (already sold out) La Rose Noir Crewneck. Don’t squint because it might give you wrinkles, but we also really appreciate the use of dark colored ink on dark colored fabric. On the 1985 Football Top, black screen printing is laid upon navy, burgundy or black cotton, making the design hardly apparent to the eye. But look close, it’s there.
Attention to detail is paid throughout the Spring/Summer 2016 offering. Get the goods at the Raised by Wolves online shop (be sure to keep an eye on the US dollars – by default everything is shown in Canadian), or at authorized retailers across the country.
