It seems like people will sue for any reason these days. Just ask James Cameron. But suing the government for not believing in Big Foot? Come. On.
Well, that’s what’s happening in the golden state right now where a Crestline, CA woman named Claudia Ackley is taking two big feet towards legal action.
Ackley claims to have seen a sasquatch on a number of occasions, most recently last March when she was with her daughters on a trail near Lake Arrowhead.
She said the creature was barrel-chested, with a head three times the size of a human’s, and appeared to weigh about 800 pounds.
“He looked like a neanderthal man with hair all over him. He had solid black eyes. He had no expression on his face at all. He did not show his teeth. He just stared at the three of us,” said Ackley.
She said she made a howling “whoop” sound, and the creature in the tree reacted by rocking back and forth, shaking branches. That’s when Ackley told her daughters to turn and slowly walk away. She said her youngest daughter, who shot video of the alleged encounter on her phone, later told her mother she saw two other similar creatures on the ground, running away upon their approach.

Forest rangers believe she may have seen a bear. But Ackley, being a Bigfoot enthusiast with more than 20 years of ‘research,’ knows what she saw.
Ackley, with the help of documentary filmmaker Todd Standing (Netflix’s Discovering Bigfoot) has sued the state of California in San Bernardino Superior Court alleging the California Department of Fish and Wildlife and the state Natural Resources Agency have been “derelict in their duty by not acknowledging the existence of the Sasquatch species, despite a mountain of documented and scientific evidence,” that is also “endangering the public.”
“People have to be warned about these things. They are big,” Ackley reportedly said. “We’re totally vulnerable to these things.”
Ackley’s lawsuit also alleges that the sasquatchery has damaged her “livelihood, public image and credibility.”
In the meantime, Ackley leaves snacks like apples, oranges and Fritos — along with a a can of Coke — for Sasquatch, hoping to open communication with the ‘species.’
