Fifty fans may still have a chance to see a show on the final tour of The Tragically Hip, as they’ve opened up a lottery where winners will be chosen the day of the show, and those winners will be allowed to purchase two tickets each.
For each tour date on the Man Machine Poem Tour, there will be tickets available through this lottery system. According to The Canadian Press, the cutoff for lottery entry is 11am local time on the day of the show, and winners will be notified by email by 1pm that day.
Unclaimed tickets will go up for general admission sale at the box office.
The Man Machine Poem Tour was announced just days after news hit that lead singer Gord Downie had been diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. He received the go-ahead from his doctors to proceed with the 15-date tour. It starts this Friday in Victoria, BC.
