Watch: Homer Simpson Arrives In Australia, Gets Attacked By Seagulls

Homer Simpson has had the gall to return to Australia after the great mooning incident of ’95.

You’d think that a solid two decades would be long enough for tensions to simmer down, even if The Simpsons were solely responsible for Queensland’s current infestation of chazzwazzers.

With that in mind, Homer J has seen fit to return to our great land of backwards-flowing toilet water without the rest of The Simpsons clan in toe, specifically to celebrate genius cartoonist Matt Groening’s upcoming appearance at Sydney’s annual visual storytelling, animation and music festival, GRAPHIC.

Groening is set to appear live in conversation with his “biggest inspiration” AKA cartoonist, writer and Eisner Hall of Famer, Lynda Barry, in a special event dubbed Love, Hate & Comics.

After no doubt taking in a few games of knifey-spooney on Sydney Harbour, they’ll be jumping up on stage at the Opera House’s iconic Concert Hall to share some rare insights into their worlds, including The Simpsons, Futurama, Life In Hell and more, and chat about drawing together in college and looking back on the world of pop culture that they’ve transformed.

Anyhoo, Mr. Simpson has also tagged along to film a special video announcing the event, which will take place on Saturday, 5th November. However, just like it did 20 years ago, Aussie wildlife has had the last laugh.

Australia never forgets.
