Because high school basketball sure is taken seriously in Ohio.
If you’re going to spend your Friday night watching a basketball game between Lexington and Wooster, the least you can do is act like a typical parent who has been forced to watch a bunch of shitty kids play basketball, and don’t start a fight that is going to end up on the news. Well, the folks involved in this video obviously wanted to end up on the news.
The fight occurred after undefeated Wooster (Ohio) handed Lexington their first loss of the season. Now there is no word yet what started this fight, but perhaps the outcome of the game had something to do with it. Or maybe someone was sneaking liquor in. Probably both.
Let’s check out some of the fight below:
It’s Not A High School Basketball Game Until Parents And Students Fight Each Other
According to The Mansfield News Journal, the person behind the camera, Casey, said it looks like the fight started behind the scoring table between parents from both reams. Soon after students from Wooster got involved and all hell broke loose.
Casey said the fight lasted a few minutes, and during this time both teams were kept in the locker room until it ended. And boy, I bet that was an awkward ride back home.
No charges have been made, and this fight is still under investigation.
