Was Giants’ Playoff Implosion Result of WR Boat Trip?

Although the New York Giants dominated most of the first half of football at Green Bay Sunday night, Aaron Rodgers and the Pack ran away with the contest following a late 2nd quarter Hail Mary, eventually cruising to a 38-13 win, eliminating New York from the 2017 NFL playoffs.

There were a lot of factors that contributed to the loss, but everyone is talking about the early week boat trip that Odell Beckham and the receiving corps took.

The Miami trip, meant to celebrate last week’s playoff-clinching victory over Washington, was full of red flags: Justin Bieber, Johnny Manziel, and what appears to be singer/actor Trey Songz (bottom left) holding a joint with the Giants stars on a yacht.

Miami is great this time of year. But was it necessary to fly down there days before the biggest game of their lives?

Sunday’s contest in Green Bay was Beckham’s first career playoff game. He had three drops, more than he had his entire rookie year (2).

Now, haters are jumping on-board (pun intended) with the memes faster than Beckham can say is it too late now to say sorry?

For The Win has loads more here.

But there was also this great nugget from NFL Research.

So how did Beckham take the loss?

Obviously you can’t entirely blame the receiving corps after such a shellacking, but there’s no question Beckham and his unit will continue to get a lot heat from this controversy until they can find some sort of redemption next season.
