Odell Beckham Jr. Makes History As Newest ‘Madden’ Cover Athlete

The folks at the game franchise ‘Madden’ announced Wednesday that Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. beat out the Patriots’ Rob Gronkowski to earn the cover of their latest game ‘Madden NFL 16.’

Beckham Jr. is the youngest player to ever make the cover of the video game after hauling in a 91-catch, 12-touchdown season in his rookie year.

Part of his instant fame, which is depicted on the cover, was this epic catch he made against the Cowboys in week 12 last season.

Of course now Beckham has to worry about the ‘Madden curse,’ while already attempting to avoid the famous ‘sophomore slump.’ If you’re unfamiliar with the legendary track record of players having awful years following the year they’re on the Madden cover, just read here

Here’s the ‘Madden NFL 16’ trailer, which, like always, looks impressive.
