Former Aussie cricketer and full-time larrikin Shane Warne has announced a new one-man show called ‘Warney Uncut’, which will see him speak in detail about the ups and downs in his life later this year.
Announcing ‘Warney Uncut’ at a press conference today, Warney described the show as “entertaining” and “fun”, and a chance for him to explain why all of the unauthorised biographies about his life “aren’t true”.
“There’s only one person who knows the truth, and that’s me,” Warney says.
Touring nationally between April and May, ‘Warney Uncut’ will allow punters to (as Warney says), “Get to know me better as a person,” at shows in Sydney, Perth, Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra and Melbourne.
Warney says the new stage show will see him discuss his turbulent personal life, his sporting career and the “mistakes” he’s made along the way. Each show will also feature a Q&A session with the audience, and while there “won’t be any karaoke” involved, Warney says it will show people that he’s “actually quite a genuine guy”.
The team behind ‘Warney Uncut’ say they are also considering taking the production to England if it performs well in Australia.
Ticket prices for ‘Warney Uncut’ range from $99 to $399 for a VIP package. View all the tour dates and ticket details, below.
