Canada’s largest rock festival, Montebello Rockfest, just released its insane lineup, and there’s some heavy hitters on this year’s bill. Here are the top 7 acts to check out at this year’s event, running from June 22-25.
Megadeath
They first hit the scene in 1985 (!) with the album Killing Is My Business… and Business Is Good!, the most recent being Dystopia, the band’s fifteenth studio album, which was released this past January.
The Offspring
This American punk band also has stayability, with their debut self-titled album coming out in 1989. Despite their last album being in 2012, their tune “Sharknado” premiered last summer and was used in the flick Sharknado: The 4th Awakens.
Wu-Tang Clan
With more than 40 million albums sold worldwide, this hip-hop group put out Once Upon a Time in Shaolin in 2015 and hit people’s radars, once again, when they re-released tracks following the election of President Donald Trump.
Rammstein
This German band formed in Berlin in 1994, and while they’re reputed the world over for their tracks, they’re also known for their impressive stage shows, which include pyrotechnics and other theatrical elements.
Queens of the Stone Age
They have six studio albums under their belts, and this American rock band recently said they are putting out a new album this year.
Iggy Pop
Solo artist Iggy Pop was also in the band The Stooges, who were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame back in 2010. Last October he released the double live album Post Pop Depression: Live At The Royal Albert Hall.
Alexisonfire
One of the few Canadian headliners on the bill, Alexisonfire have been busy touring the world and headlining other shows like the UNIFY Gathering 2017 in Australia.
